EES Madrid receives C.V.s from qualified, native teachers every day, all year round.
Typically, candidates are EU passport holders from Britain, Ireland, United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. The vast majority hold a recognised qualification to teach EFL, such as CELTA, TESOL Trinity or similar, although a significant number may be in possession of other qualifications such as a P.G.C.E. or B. Ed. and be qualified in their own countries of origin to teach in Primary or Secondary education.
A limited number of candidates may have a degree in Applied Linguistics or the Diploma in TEFL. We also receive requests from experienced Teacher Trainers. Teachers are encouraged to come out to Spain in person when they are ready to attend face-to-face interview with prospective employers and are available for immediate employment. In this way, the chances of a successful presentation are maximised. When a teacher is in another part of Spain and has to travel to attend interview, it is normal for his / her travel expenses to be met by the prospective employer.
